Arch-Deacon Charles got married in holy matrimony in 1957. He was a son in law to Mzee Abuti and Mama Rosebella Luchera. The couple was blessed with seven children, Shadrack Wesechere, Prof. Naomi Shitemi, Albert Maende, Florence Mmbwanga, Jemimah Maina, Andrew Otsieno and Festo Olang'.
